Especially on the first trading day after the holiday, DMC prices have fully recovered and slightly increased, injecting new vitality into the industry. According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the export volume of primary shaped polydimethylsiloxane in China will be 546000 tons in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 34.3%. This significant growth is attributed to the sustained increase in overall demand for organosilicon driven by the global economic recovery, as well as the trend of transferring the production capacity of organosilicon primary products to the domestic market. With the continuous expansion of the application of organosilicon in various markets around the world, China's export regions have gradually become dispersed. Although South Korea, India, and the United States are still the three core export regions, their proportion in China's total exports has declined.
The rapid growth of demand for organic silicon exports has not only brought more market opportunities to the industry, but also promoted the optimization and upgrading of the domestic organic silicon industry chain. Driven by the export market, domestic silicone enterprises have increased their research and development investment, improved product quality and technological content, in order to better meet international market demand. At the same time, the growth in export demand has also driven the extension and expansion of the domestic organic silicon industry chain, bringing new growth points to the industry.
