Silicone oil: linear polysiloxane that maintains liquid state at room temperature. It is a kind of silicone product with many varieties and series and a wide range of applications. According to different classifications of substituent groups on Polysiloxane chain, silicone oil can be divided into methyl silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil, ethyl silicone oil, hydroxyl silicone oil, amino silicone oil, vinyl silicone oil, hydrogen containing silicone oil and polyether modified silicone oil.

Dimethyl silicone oil (polydimethylsiloxane) is the most common type of silicone oil. It is a kind of hydrophobic silicone material with the largest dosage and the widest application. It has been used in medicine, daily chemical products, food, construction and other fields, and its derivatives have reached hundreds. Those in the mixed chemical industry must be familiar with it!!!


According to the different relative molecular weight, the appearance of dimethyl silicone oil changes from colorless and transparent volatile liquid to viscous liquid or silica gel. It is tasteless, highly transparent, heat-resistant, cold resistant, with small change of viscosity with temperature, waterproof, small surface tension, thermal conductivity, physiological inertia, good chemical stability, good electrical insulation, weather resistance, hydrophobicity, and high shear resistance;

It can be directly used for damp proof insulation, damping, shock absorption, defoaming, lubrication, polishing, etc;

It is widely used as insulation lubrication, shockproof, oil dust proof, dielectric fluid and heat carrier. It can also be used as defoaming agent, mold release agent, paint and daily chemical additives.
