Many suppliers choose to optimize modification formulas to reduce silane consumption per unit output, mitigating the impact of rising auxiliary material costs.

  Downstream adhesive enterprises are transforming their raw material procurement logic. Previously, buyers mainly focused on the unit price of silica. At present, formulators comprehensively evaluate indicators including dispersion efficiency, thixotropic index, storage stability and influence on finished glue weather resistance. Even with slightly higher prices, silica with stable batch consistency is favored by large-scale adhesive manufacturers. Upstream and downstream joint R&D models are gradually popularized: silica suppliers cooperate with adhesive factories to customize exclusive silica grades matching specific sealant formulas, building long-term binding partnerships and raising barriers for new competitors.

  Regional market demand differences also affect product sales layout. In Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, infrastructure construction expands continuously, driving demand for medium-grade construction sealants and corresponding silica. European and North American markets prioritize high-performance, low-carbon silica conforming to strict chemical regulations. Export-oriented silica manufacturers adjust product portfolios accordingly, developing differentiated specifications for different regional markets to improve market adaptability.

  Trading market circulation shows obvious stratification. Sealant-specific hydrophobic modified silica has limited available spot goods, and most transactions are based on pre-order production. General silica flows sufficiently but faces fierce price competition. Many chemical traders gradually reduce the proportion of general silica business and focus on connecting manufacturers of special modified silica to seize opportunities from the adhesive industry expansion.

  Market analysts point out that the global adhesive and sealant industry will maintain steady growth in the next few years, and the penetration rate of high-performance modified silica will keep rising. Short-term tight supply of special silica will continue to support firm product quotations. In the medium and long run, newly invested flexible production lines will gradually release capacity, and market competition will intensify.
