Luxi Chemical DMC resumed quoting 14200 yuan/ton after 6 consecutive days of closure, an increase of 200 yuan/ton from 14000 yuan/ton before the closure. After half a month of closure, the quotation for chloromethane has been restored to 2800 yuan/ton, an increase of 800 yuan/ton or 40% compared to 2000 yuan/ton before the closure.
At the end of March, the home appliance industry experienced a wave of intensive price increase announcements. Hisense, Haier, Midea, Siemens TCL、 More than ten mainstream brands, including Panasonic, Rongsheng, and Fotile, have successively issued notices announcing price increases for their products starting from April 1st, with overall increases ranging from 5% to 20%. Some models of Midea air conditioners have seen an increase of up to 30%. This price adjustment covers multiple categories such as air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions, and kitchen appliances.
The concentrated outbreak of cost pressure stems from the continuous rise in core raw material prices for home appliance manufacturing since the second half of 2025. According to data from the Shanghai Futures Exchange, copper prices have recently exceeded 95000 yuan/ton, with a cumulative increase of 33% to 40% compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching a historical high; Aluminum prices have risen by 20% during the same period, and refrigerant prices have skyrocketed by 80%. The significant fluctuations in the prices of three core raw materials have directly pushed up the basic costs of home appliance production.
In addition to metals and refrigerants, the recent rise in crude oil prices has further intensified cost pressures, directly driving up the prices of chemical raw materials such as ABS plastics and polyurethane foaming agents. Among them, the price of ABS plastic has jumped from 8000 yuan/ton in early March to over 13000 yuan/ton, while the price of PC plastic has risen from 11000 yuan/ton to 16000 yuan/ton. These chemical raw materials, like metal materials, are the core raw materials that make up the physical components of household appliances, and their price fluctuations have a particularly direct impact on the production costs of household appliances.
Collective price increase for electric bicycles
According to media reports, Yadi dealers have stated that Yadi has decided to adjust the factory prices of all product categories uniformly from midnight on April 1st, with a single unit increase of more than 300 yuan. The specific price adjustment details for vehicle models shall be subject to the "Product Price Execution Table" officially issued by the company on April 1, 2026.
Yadi stated in the relevant price adjustment letter that the prices of major bulk raw materials have continued to rise significantly, with metal materials such as aluminum, copper, and iron increasing by more than 40%, and chemical raw materials such as plastic particles increasing by more than 80%. In the face of unprecedented cost pressures, it has always adhered to the business philosophy of "customer first", took the initiative to bear the operating burden in the first quarter of 2026, fully digested the factors of cost increases, and did not make any adjustments to product prices.
In addition to Yadea, domestic electric two wheeler front-end brands such as No.9, Tailing, and Aima plan to raise the terminal selling prices of most of their models from April 1st, with a general increase of 200-300 yuan.
When it comes to the reasons for this round of price increases, dealers unanimously stated that the rise in raw materials is the core factor. Wang Yiwen, an aluminum analyst at Guangfa Futures, said that from the perspective of the futures market, since 2026, the three major varieties of lithium carbonate, copper, and aluminum have all shown strong trends, with lithium carbonate experiencing the most severe fluctuations. However, the actual impact of aluminum prices on the industry chain is more significant. Although lithium carbonate has risen more rapidly, the cost increase for bicycles is about 35 yuan, while the cost increase caused by the rise in aluminum prices is about 60-70 yuan (compared to December, theoretical calculation).
