Injection molding liquid silica gel is called LIMS for short, and its full name is Liquid Injection Moulding System. This is a two-component translucent liquid silicone rubber material suitable for injection molding process. Injection molding liquid silica gel is generally a new processing system formed by vulcanizing the liquid silicone rubber with excellent performance, and then combining the equipment that can accurately and stably complete injection molding.
Liquid silica gel has excellent transparency, tear resistance, resilience, yellowing resistance, thermal stability, water resistance, good permeability, heat aging resistance and weather resistance, and has moderate viscosity, good fluidity, easy operation, and high transparency of products.
Using the various characteristics of liquid silica gel, injection molding liquid silica gel can also be widely used in various industries represented by electrical, electronic, automotive, aerospace, machinery, food, daily necessities, medical, family planning supplies, etc. The injection molding liquid silica gel focuses on the improvement of production capacity and the reduction of labor costs, and realizes the perfect reduction of product costs.
Latest application and development of liquid silicone rubber
In recent years, the liquid rubber injection molding method (LIMS), namely the injection molding of liquid silicone rubber, has been widely popularized and promoted. Recently, this method has become a popular molding method in the industry due to its advantages of short time automatic molding and composite molding with plastics. The following will introduce the latest trend of liquid silicone rubber injection molding and the materials applicable to this molding method.
1. Liquid injection molding of silicone rubber
The liquid silicone rubber injection molding method, which started in the 1970s, is gradually popularized. Now, as a molding method of silicone rubber, it has been recognized. First, the commonly used LIMS method is described.
If LIMS (liquid silicone rubber injection molding) is explained in one sentence, it is a method of using a pump to transport the added solidified liquid silicone rubber into the injection molding machine and solidify it in the model. From the difference of the process flow and curing reaction of the two methods, the advantages of LIMS are as follows:
(1) Manpower saving: the processes of material transportation, metering, mixing, injection and so on can realize continuous automation and reduce power consumption.
(2) It can improve production efficiency: shorten the molding cycle through rapid curing.
(3) It can improve product quality: no reaction by-products and no impurities.
(4) Suitable for composite molding: due to the good fluidity of materials, low molding pressure and wide curing temperature range, composite molding can be performed in addition to the molding of embedded parts.
