On June 18, 2025, the "3rd Organic Silicon Technology and Application Innovation Forum" hosted by the China Fluorosilicon Organic Materials Industry Association opened at the Blue Palace Hotel in Shanghai. More than 10 top experts from State Grid, ZTE, Huawei and other companies conducted in-depth discussions on the application of organic silicon in fields such as 5G communication, new energy vehicles, and medical health, and leaked the core content of the "2025 Organic Silicon Industry 15th Five Year Plan" in advance.
On the forum, ZTE's reliability expert Wu Xijie revealed the breakthrough path for the localization of thermal conductive materials for 5G base stations. His team optimized the formula of thermal interface materials to improve heat dissipation efficiency by 30%, helping Huawei, ZTE and other companies achieve 100% localization replacement of base station equipment. Professor Zhang Qinghua from Zhejiang University demonstrated the innovative application of fluorosilicon super infiltration interface functional materials in degradable medical implants. The material has passed biocompatibility certification and is expected to enter clinical trials in 2026.
At the market level, attending experts pointed out that the silicone industry is entering a structural turning point. From January to March 2025, domestic demand is expected to increase by 11.4% year-on-year, with an annual demand of 2.8 million tons and a compound annual growth rate of over 20% for exports. The field of new energy vehicles is particularly prominent, with an average use of 3-5 kilograms of organic silicon materials per vehicle. Against the backdrop of global sales exceeding 20 million vehicles, the industry's demand growth rate remains stable at over 20% annually. In addition, the demand for high weather resistant encapsulation adhesive for photovoltaic modules has surged. Enterprises such as Hesheng Silicon Industry have increased their single set production capacity by 10% through fluidized bed technology upgrades, further consolidating their cost advantages.
Under the dual drive of policies and capital, the industry landscape is accelerating its differentiation. Hesheng Silicon Industry, relying on the Xinjiang "coal electricity silicon" integrated base, has reduced the electricity consumption per ton of industrial silicon smelting to below 10000 kWh, while maintaining a leading gross profit margin in the industry. At the same time, companies such as Suzhou Qitian New Materials have won four provincial-level science and technology awards for their innovative application of functional silane in lithium-ion battery electrolytes, promoting the extension of technological barriers to high value-added fields.
